With the use of the SkinPen microneedling device, tiny needles penetrate the upper layers of the skin to create numerous micro-injuries throughout the face. This skin penetration stimulates the body’s natural wound healing process, or collagen induction therapy. Throughout this process, cytokines and growth factors are released which contribute to increased collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin contribute to the skin’s structural integrity. Additionally, a stronger “type I” collagen is newly formed in these dermal tissues to create a tightening or “shrink wrap” effect on the skin. 18 hours after the procedure the micro-injuries are healed at the surface level and normal skincare can resume. Red or Blue Light Therapy ($75 full session, $25 add on)

Light Therapy is the perfect finishing touch to microdermabrasion or a chemical peel. It may be added to any non-SkinMedica facial or peel. We offer both red and blue light therapy. 

Red Light Therapy, also known as photo-rejuvenation, has been proven through years of research to increase ATP synthesis, accelerating cellular metabolism and collagen production, resulting in smoother and softer skin. It is also recommended and safe for the treatment of rosacea and hyperpigmentation. Light Therapy evens out skin tones, plumps out small wrinkles, and tightens skin.

Blue Light Therapy is a special procedure that is designed to treat acne. This procedure kills bacteria under the skin to reduce the spread of future outbreaks. It is a noninvasive approach that works from within the skin and helps to reduce redness.
